My Astrology Reading in my Early 20's

My Astrology Reading in my Early 20's
Can you see the future?

I got an astrology reading in my early twenties and she said something that has stuck with me lo these many years. Looking back, she was actually a very good astrologer and tarot reader, but I think I made her nervous. She kept saying, "we're not like fortune tellers you see on TV."

She was a kooky old bat and I honestly thought she was nuts. So maybe that was coming across. She picked up on the fact that I had an "unusual" father (I do) something about my midheaven, which other astrologers haven't picked up on. She picked up on my health and drinking (I was drinking a ton at the time as I was just out of college) and she said I wouldn't do well in stand up, but that laughter would be part of my success and that I was lucky with money. I still get terrified doing standup.

But she said something that's stayed with me. "You'll live an interesting life, but if you don't choose one thing, (she explained I have a chart that doesn't point to one career) you'll get to the end of your life and say I never did that!" "Did what?" I asked. She said, "Well, that's for you to decide. This is what I mean. Decide. Pick one. Take a look at Barbara Sher. You need a step-by-step plan."

Now that I'm more than halfway through middle-age and nearing old(ish) age I see the wisdom of her words. As someone once said about winning the Tony, 'There's something very satisfying to winning one."

I agree with this. There is something satisfying about, say, studying hard for a test that you ace, or having a Oscar nomination before the age of fifty. And I think goals certainly can help with achieving one's dreams.

I also think if you don't, it's OK. Many people who have had Near Death Experiences have said how little fame, achievements, money and success matter after we die. This is interesting. It can certainly mean we don't need to pressure ourselves. However, I wonder if humans can honestly not strive for something. Even if you're striving for non-striving. LOL.

Many people in modern day astrology on Youtube have said humanity is going though a re-birth, where such things as class and money won't matter anymore and the only thing that will matter is love. The people who have had NDE's say the same thing. I guess the people who have achieved their dreams, can be satisfied. The ones who haven't, until humans enter this phase, will keep on striving.
